Bill's Azimuthal Projection Image Creation Tool

This site allows you to create an Azimuthal Projection of the world centered around any location you choose. An Azimuthal Projection is a map projection in which the entire earth's surface or a region of it is projected onto a plane tangential to the surface. There are 2 main types of these projections:

Azimuthal Equidistant Projection - which has the properties that all points on the map are at proportionally correct distances from the center point, and that all points are at the correct azimuth from the center point.

Azimuthal Equal Area Projection - which projects the Earth's surface onto a flat plane from a central point, preserving true area and direction from the center, but distorting shape and scale.
